Pavilion Kuala Lumpur- Blooms of prosperity

Presenting "Blooms of Prosperity," the largest commercial project we've ever executed. A spectacular life-sized 30-foot paper garden created for a Chinese New Year festival. This project was a collaboration between DH Paper Art and Master Chen Xiao, an award-winning modern origami artist. The installation represents the harmony of the five elemental tigers (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth).
The paper garden features natural elements of the four seasons: blooming daffodils in spring with the Blue Tiger; peonies in summer with the Red Tiger; stunning golden-leaf maple trees in autumn with the Silver Tiger; and peach blossom trees for the winter season with the Black Tiger. The center of the garden features a large Gold Mountain and the mighty Yellow Tiger. Surrounding the pavilion with other dozens of auspicious Chinese lanterns and lush blooming flowers and trees to create a festive atmosphere.

“ReBloom - veins”, Hagen castle, Bremischen, germany

Dora’s most personal piece to date is Veins, a four-part artwork made from transculent paper. Approximately 175-200 pieces of veins describe Premature Ventricular Contraction (PVC) Bigeminy and Trigeminy, types of irregular heart rhythm. Dora was diagnosed with this condition in 2023. She is working backwards on this project by completing the final piece of the four-part artwork first.
"I'm feeling alive, awakened, conscious, refreshed - I feel reborn. Occasionally, the condition slips from my mind amidst a sunny day filled with smiles and laughter. Each part of the veins depicts my emotions in detail, from the moment I collapse to hitting reset and regaining consciousness again."
“ReBloom” is the first biennial of the world's leading organization for papermakers and paper artists, the International Association of Hand Papermakers and Paper Artists (IAPMA). The exhibition showcased 100 chosen works of paper art out of 505 submissions by artists from 40 countries. Dora's artwork was featured at the IAPMA Paper Art Biennale 2024 in Germany, making her the only artist from Malaysia.
21st April - 11th August 2024, Hagen Castle in Bremischen, Germany.
